Shopify or custom?
Shopify if you sell products conventionally — it solves problems you should not pay to re-solve. Custom when your pricing, vendors or fulfilment do not fit the platform's assumptions.
Can you build a marketplace with multiple sellers?
Yes. Be aware that commissions and payouts are the largest and riskiest part of any marketplace, and we will scope them explicitly rather than folding them into a line item.
